FAQ

Sea Freight Questions

FCL (Full Container Load) means you book the entire container — 20' GP (25 CBM), 40' GP (67 CBM) or 40' HC (76 CBM) — at a flat rate regardless of how full it is. Better value above roughly 12–15 CBM, faster transit since there is no consolidation delay, and lower cargo damage risk. LCL (Less than Container Load) means your cargo shares container space with other shippers and you pay per CBM/tonne — cost-effective for volumes under 12 CBM. We run weekly LCL consolidations from Guangzhou, Shanghai, Jebel Ali, Rotterdam and Los Angeles to Karachi.
We hold direct contracts with COSCO, MSC, Evergreen, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE (Ocean Network Express), EMC (Evergreen Maritime Carrier) and PIL (Pacific International Lines) — all calling at Karachi (KICT/QICT/KPT) and Port Qasim. Direct contracts mean we are not an NVOCC reseller — you get the same rates, equipment availability and space priority as large importers, even for a single 20' container. This is particularly valuable during peak season when NVOCCs lose space allocation.
20' GP (general purpose, 25 CBM, 21,600 kg max), 40' GP (67 CBM, 26,700 kg), 40' HC (high cube, 76 CBM, 26,500 kg), 20' RF and 40' RF (reefer, temperature-controlled from −25°C to +25°C for pharma and perishables), 40' OT (open top, for over-height cargo like machinery and steel coils), 20' FR and 40' FR (flat rack, for out-of-gauge heavy lift and vehicles). We also arrange breakbulk, RoRo and project cargo bookings for commodities that cannot containerise.
Sea freight rates fluctuate based on carrier market conditions, fuel surcharges and demand. As of 2025, a 20' container from China (Guangzhou/Shanghai) to Karachi typically ranges from $800–$1,600 USD ocean freight plus origin and destination charges. All-inclusive door-to-door for a 20' FCL runs $1,800–$2,800 USD depending on specific ports, commodity and services required. We provide a firm, all-inclusive quote within 2 business hours — contact us with your cargo details for a current rate.
Every FCL shipment gets real-time container tracking from gate-in at origin port. You receive: (1) booking confirmation with vessel name and voyage number, (2) gate-in confirmation when the container is handed to the terminal, (3) vessel departure notice (ETD), (4) vessel arrival alert (ETA at Pakistan port), (5) WeBOC clearance status updates, and (6) delivery confirmation. Updates are sent via WhatsApp and email. Our operations team proactively calls you if anything changes — you will never chase us for status.
Standard documents: Original Bill of Lading (or Telex Release/Express B/L), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin (mandatory for CPFTA concessions), and Insurance Policy. Commodity-specific permits: PSQCA for food and consumer goods, DRAP import licence for pharmaceuticals, PTA Type Approval for electronics, SPS clearance for agricultural products, NAPHIS phytosanitary permit for plant material, and IMO/IATA DGR documentation for hazardous goods. Our pre-clearance team audits your document set 3–5 days before vessel arrival.
