FAQ

Common Questions

For volumes above 15 CBM or 10,000 kg: FCL sea freight is the most cost-effective option — a 20' container from Guangzhou to Karachi costs $800–$1,600 USD ocean freight, with all-in door-to-door costs of $1,800–$2,800 USD. For smaller volumes under 12 CBM: LCL (Less than Container Load) consolidation from Guangzhou or Shanghai is cheapest — charged per CBM. For urgent shipments: economy air freight (6–9 days) costs more but saves inventory carrying costs. The cheapest overall option depends on your volume, time constraints and commodity — we model all three options in every quote.
The China-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement (CPFTA) Phase II, implemented from January 2020, provides preferential tariff rates on over 8,000 HS headings when goods are of Chinese origin and accompanied by a valid CPFTA Certificate of Origin (Form P) issued by Chinese Customs or the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). Duty reductions typically range from 20% to 100% of the standard customs duty rate. For example, a product with 25% standard CD may qualify for 5% or 0% CD under CPFTA. Our customs team calculates CPFTA savings on every shipment and ensures the Form P is correctly completed by your Chinese supplier.
Yes — multi-supplier consolidation is one of our core China services. We have partner trucking networks across Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian and Shandong provinces. We collect from multiple factories on a defined schedule, consolidate at our partner warehouses in Guangzhou Nansha or Yiwu (with up to 14 days free storage), inspect and verify quantities, then ship as a single LCL or FCL consignment to Pakistan. This saves significant freight costs compared to shipping separately from each supplier, and simplifies your Pakistan customs clearance to a single GD filing.
LCL (Less than Container Load) consolidation means your cargo shares container space with other importers' goods, with each party charged per CBM or tonne. Our Guangzhou and Shanghai LCL services depart weekly to Karachi with 4–5 day cut-off times. LCL is the best option when: your shipment is under 12–15 CBM; you ship frequently in smaller quantities (e.g. weekly or bi-weekly); you want to avoid the higher fixed cost of booking a full container for a small load. The trade-off vs FCL: slightly longer transit (LCL typically adds 3–7 days for origin consolidation and destination deconsolidation) and a small risk of goods damage from co-loading.
For goods imported from China through Karachi: after vessel arrival at KICT or Port Qasim, customs clearance under WeBOC takes 1–2 working days for Green Channel (no examination), 2–4 days for Yellow Channel, and 3–7 days for Red Channel. We file pre-arrival GDs 3–5 days before vessel berthing to eliminate waiting time. With CPFTA Form P correctly attached, goods go to Green or Yellow Channel in most cases. Total China-Karachi door-to-door transit: 22–26 days by FCL. China-Lahore door-to-door: 25–30 days including inland transport from Karachi Port.
